Welcome

WELCOME to the Web site for The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship—or more simply, The Woltemade Center.

The Woltemade Center provides unique opportunities for students studying in OWU’s Economics Department. Some of the most outstanding include the chance to become Corns Business and Entrepreneurial Scholars, to be part of the Economics Management Fellows Program, to participate in meaningful internships through the Blaine E. Grimes Summer Grants Program, to work directly with faculty on research projects through the Norman Leonard Student Research Grant, and to receive Lawrence Appley scholarships for the American Management Association’s Operation Enterprise program.

In addition to our scholarship and grant opportunities, the Center also:

  • Seeks out and promotes internships for students
  • Presents an exceptional speaker series
  • Assists a number of student clubs, such as the Investment Club, Entrepreneurship Club, and the Student Initiative for International Development

This Web site should answer many of your questions about the Woltemade Center, but we welcome the opportunity to share more of our story. If you’d like additional information, e-mail jdboos@owu.edu.
